Rapid Addition and ThoughtWorks partner on Quickfix Successor

Rapid Addition, the technology solutions provider to global financial electronic trading markets, and ThoughtWorks, an IT consultancy and the original providers of QuickFIX, have entered into a partnership to launch RA for QuickFIX ("RA-4QF").


RA4QF enables existing users of QuickFIX to benefit from Rapid Addition's high-performance, ultra-low latency FIX engine - RA-CheetahTM - with minimal integration effort.


QuickFIX was originally developed by ThoughtWorks in 2002 as an open source FIX engine. Advances in technology, coupled with new demands in today's market, have led Rapid Addition and ThoughtWorks to develop RA-4QF.


Rapid Addition and ThoughtWorks have both been involved in FIX almost since its inception and aligning their efforts is seen by both companies as a natural step in the evolution of their respective businesses.
