Apex adds Irish operation

Apex Fund Services has established forty new fund administration jobs at Midleton Co. Cork, the first Apex office in Europe.

Apex Fund Services (Ireland) Ltd. is set-up as part of increased efforts to establish itself in Europe, offering a comprehensive fund administration service to support its existing European clients and to further develop its client base in the market.

Apex's services include fund administration, transfer agency and corporate secretarial service for both non-Irish domiciled and Irish domiciled hedge funds and private equity clients.

The company was founded by Mr. Peter Hughes who is the majority owner of the company who brought over fifteen years experience in senior level positions in the industry. Mr Hughes set up the operation in response to what he felt was a large gap between the services expectations of clients and what was being provided in the industry. Soon after setting up the operation, he was joined by Mr. John Bohan and together the company has grown at a steady rate to the global operation it is today.

Apex has consistently achieved growth rates between 50 & 75% in assets under administration and has plans to grow into the markets where they believe the future of the hedge fund industry is directed. Over the next 12 months the company is expanding into Asia and the Middle East with proposed offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Bahrain and Malta.
